
Biography
Lisa-Maria Sekine is an Austrian violinist currently studying at the University of Music
and Performing Arts Vienna and at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid
under the guidance of Zakhar Bron.
She is a prizewinner of international violin competitions such as the David Oistrakh
International Violin Competition, the Johannes Brahms Competition,
and the Valsesia Musica International Violin Competition.
As a soloist, she has performed with orchestras including the Frédéric Chopin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Zakhar Bron Chamber Orchestra, and the Qazaq State Symphony Orchestra.
She has also appeared at festivals and masterclasses across Europe.
Lisa-Maria has worked as an assistant to Michael Frischenschlager at the
International Music Academy Orpheus in Vienna and at the Festival Bled in Slovenia.
She plays a Sanctus Seraphin violin from Venice (1748),
generously loaned by the National Bank of Austria.
